Haight-Ashbury

We spended a lot of money on that State. So, by the time we crossed the country, destination: San Francisco, California, we were broke.

The San Francisco experience... TOTALLY another deal. When I say broke, I mean it, not one dime on our pockets, so (taking he advice from a guy from Oakland that flew with us from NY) when we got to the Civic Center on Market Street, we got a cab straight to Haight - Ashbury, home of the Grateful Dead and the San Francisco hippie movement of the 60´s until the Summer of Love. At the end of Haight is the Golden Gate Park, now home for the homeless, we became two more of this particular group of people.
