Y si la encuentras pobre, Ítaca no te ha engañado: Caucho quemado (Burned sneakers)

Mi último día con los chicos, fue realmente un día para recordar, madrugamos para tomar un bus, para ver el amanecer más espectacular que mis ojos hayan visto y para escalar el volcán Pacaya. Lamentablemente, el amanecer ocurrió mientras estabamos en el bus, así que buenas fotos no pude tomar, está todo en mi cabeza y en las de los que estuvieron ahí.

El Pacaya tiene una altura de aproximadamente 2500 metros y es muy empidano, desde éste se pueden ver el volcán del Fuego, el del Agua y el Acatenango. Éste junto al de Fuego y otros más, es uno de los pocos volcanes activos de Guatemala y parte de una colección de unos 38 volcanes que tiene este pequeño país.

Si queríamos, podíamos alquilar un caballo para subir, pero decidimos no hacerlo o más bien, yo no podía porque no tenía más dinero que el que había ahorrado para ir hasta Chiquimula al reencuentro con Helene.

My last day with the boys was definitely a day to remember, we got up early to take a bus, to see the most amazing sunrise my eyes have ever seen and to climb the Pacaya volcano. Unfortunately, the sunrise occurred while we were on the bus, so I couldn´t take any good pictures, it´s all in my head and the heads of those who were there.

Tha Pacaya has an altitude of 2500 meters and is very steep, from here you can see volcano Fuego (Fire), Agua (Water) and Acatenango. Pacaya along with Fire and some others, is one of the few active volcanoes in Guatemala and a part of a colection of at least 38 volcanoes taht this small country has.

If we wanted to, we could have ridden a horse all the way up, but we decided not to or actually, I couldn´t cause I didn´t have any money left, but that to pay for the bus to Chiquimula, to meet with Helene again.
